B-SURE: Impact of spaceflight on growth and biomanufacturing potential of yeast

Long duration space missions have several challenges related to human health, space
conditions, availability of resources and cost that must be solved before years-long space
missions can take place. Microbial biomanufacturing has potential to solve one facet of
those challenges by developing a robust space supply chain of quality nutrients,
medicines, and vitamins.
